Penn State York annually receives support from alumni, friends, faculty and staff, businesses and organizations to sustain and enhance programs and activities at the campus. Many generous donors contribute cash and in-kind gifts of securities or other tangible personal property, or make bequests estate or planned gifts to establish named endowments to provide ongoing financial resources for future generations.

The Penn State York Grand Destiny Campaign

Penn State York raised $9,775,139 in an endowment building campaign that ran from July 1, 1996 through June 30, 2003. The Penn State York Grand Destiny Campaign was part of a University-wide campaign that raised $1.373 billion during the same time period. As a result of the Penn State York campaign, fourteen new scholarship endowments were created, two faculty funds endowed and one community partnership endowment established. In addition, the campus received a pledged youth programs endowment and a pledged professorship in science.

Put Your Name on a Performing Arts Center Seat

Donors are encouraged to participate in the ongoing campaign to name all of the 1,000 seats in the planned new campus Performing Arts Center. Donors of $500 or more will be recognized with a nameplate on one of the seats. For more information, please contact the Office of Institutional Advancement.

Focus for Ongoing Fund Raising Programs

Penn State York continues to seek support for a variety of academic and student-oriented goals. Academic initiatives include establishing endowments for equipment, cultural and speakers programs, and the learning center. Other key areas identified as priorities are scholarships, faculty support and a fund to support facility upgrades and renovations.
