How did your experience and education at Penn State York and the CAS Program help you prepare and succeed in your professional life?
My participation in the CAS internship with the Healthy York County Coalition introduced me to various contacts during the duration of the internship. One contact in particular, the director of the South Central Assembly for Effective Governance hired me upon graduation to be a part-time communications consultant. Among other things, I helped out with reviewing KOZ applications for local compliance. Four months later, I received a call from the Department of Revenue, where I had previously submitted an application, offering me a job for the position of KOZ Coordinator. My responsibilities and title have since been expanded.
