For a students to be eligible for entrance
to this major, they must have a GPA of 2.0. In addition, during their fifth
semester, LAS students must submit a program proposal. Working with an adviser,
students will formulate a proposal designing a program that meets their
education and career goals from the viewpoint of at least three different
subject areas. Students may not duplicate existing majors from any academic
area. An important standard for entrance to the Letters, Arts, and Sciences
major is to design a program with academic integrity and worthy of a Bachelor
of Arts degree.
