Transfer to Frankfurt airport by train. Depart Frankfurt US Airways at 12:45 p.m. Arrive Philadelphia at 3:55 p.m.

If you will not be a student at the time of this trip or a Penn State employee, you must enroll in the following continuing education course before registering for the trip. Registration forms for this continuing education course, GER 518447, can be obtained in the Academic Affairs office, Room 121 John J. Romano Administration Building (RAB) or by contacting Jane Pflaum at 717-771-4051. This course will meet October 26, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The fee to register for this course is $30. The deadline for registration is October 14. All participants must be 18 years of age at the time of the trip.

Price for the trip - $1,890. These prices are based on double occupancy.
Penn State York students may receive financial funding from the Student Activity Fee Committee after a campus-wide presentation in January. There are some additional scholarships available depending on student grade-point average and financial need.

The Price Does Not Include:

• Passport & Visa fee (passport should be valid until July 2011)

Everyone needs a valid passport. If you are not an American citizen a visa may be required.

Friends and family of Penn State students, faculty, and employees are welcome on our trips.

All cancellations must be sent to Gate1 Travel in writing. Following penalties will apply:

• 99-61 days prior to departure: $200
• 60-31 days prior to departure: 50 percent land cost, 100 percent air cost
• 30 days or less prior to departure/no show: 100 per cent of total price

We recommend that you avail yourself with travel insurance as a protection against these penalties. Please, check with Gate 1 Travel Web site for their travel insurance plan.

Second payment - $500 due October 15
Third payment - $500 due November 15
Final payment - $ 490 due December 1

Air deposit: $400 due by September 23, 2010. Checks payable to “Gate 1 Travel” should be taken to the Bursar Office in the Main Classroom Building ( MCB) and handed to Sue Ruch or a staff assistant.

If you don’t have a passport yet make sure you hand in the deposit and other information by the due date so as to secure a space on the trip. Apply for a passport as soon as possible. Then you can give me a copy of your passport once you’ve received it.
