Departure at 7:00 a.m. from BWI on Delta Airlines. Arrival in Cancún at 11:30 a.m. Motor coach to Valladolid in the Yucatan peninsula. The trip is fully escorted by an English-speaking guide. Overnight at Hotel Mesón del Marqués (three stars). |
| Day 2 Sunday, December 30 - Mérida |
Morning departure for the colonial city of Mérida (two hours drive). City tour of its colonial buildings and shady parks. Visit the Archaeological Museum. Drive to Celestún (on the coast) to watch the flamingos. Overnight at a three star hotel.

| Day 3 Monday, December 31 -Mérida |
Explore the city of Mérida. Optional excursion to Uxmal and Kabah ($75). Visit the Dwarf’s Pyramid, the Governor’s Palace and the magnificent Nunnery Quadrangle, regarded as some of the most beautiful buildings in the world. Continue to Kabah. Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Mérida.

| Day 4 Tuesday, January 1 - Chichen Itza |
Drive to the Archaeological zone of Chichen Itza which includes the classical Maya and Maya-Toltec sectors, with such famous landmarks such as the Observatory, the Ball Game Court, Kukulcán Pyramid, and the Hall of One Thousand Columns. This sacred site was one of the greatest Mayan centers of the Yucatán peninsula. Overnight at Chichen Itza Hotel.

| Day 5 Wednesday, January 2 - Cancún |
Drive to Cobá which was one of the biggest cities for Mayan culture. Cobá is comprised of five groups of big buildins: Cobá, Nohoch Mul, Chumuc Mul, Macanxcoc and Uxul-benuc. Continue on to the Archaeological Zone of Tulum on the eastern part of the peninsula. Tulum is the only welll preserved Mayan site on the seashore, built on top of a cliff overlooking the blue Caribbean Sea. We’ll visit its main pyramid, El Castillo, as well as the intriguing Temple of the Descending God. Overnight at Flamingo Cancún Resort.

| Day 6 Thursday, January 3 - Cancún |
Day at leisure. Optional excursion to Xel-Ha ($65) Drive to Sian Kaan and Xel-Ha, considered the world’s most spectacular aquarium. Explore creeks, lagoons, natural wells and ancient caves fed by subterranean rivers.

| Enjoy the whole morning at the beach. Bus transfer to the airport to take your Delta flight DL#320 which leaves at 5 pm. Arrival at BWI at 11:58 pm. |

The price for the Mexico New Year's 2008 trip will be $1,410.00
Deposit of $250 is due by September 21, 2007
Balance due no later than October 26, 2007
In the past Penn State students traveling abroad have received financial support from the Student Activity Fee (SAF) committee. We expect this and other aid to cover a portion of this trip. More information will be forthcoming by early September. Honors students receive additional support.
The Price Includes:
- Round trip flights from BWI with Delta Airlines
- Airport, security fees, fuel surcharge and "Q"taxes
- Six night hotel accommodation at three-star hotels with double occupancy
- English speaking tour escort throughout the trip
- All visits and sightseeing as per itinerary
- Breakfast daily and other meals as per itinerary
- Motor coach for transfers and long distance driving
- Academic supervision by Dr. Cecilia Heydl-Cortinez, associate professor of Spanish
The Price Does Not Include:
- Porters at airport and bellboys at hotels
- Meals other than specified
- Cost of personal items: phone, drinks, etc.

- Passport & visa fee
- Everyone needs a valid passport. In case you are not an American citizen a visa may be required.

Celestial Voyagers' terms depend on contracts with Delta Airlines, hotels. and other suppliers. Regulations below must be strictly enforced as they are related to these contracts. Deposit: $250.00 due by September 21, 2007. Final payment due October 26, 2007 at latest.
All cancellations must be sent in writing. We strongly recommend that you avail yourself with travel insurance as a protection against these penalties. Please, check with Celestial Voyagers for travel insurance plans and premiums.
