Day 1 Friday, March 9 - Departure

Depart from Washington-Dulles airport to Paris. Overnight flight with Air France.

Day 2 Saturday, March 10 - Paris

On arrival, transfer to your hotel located on the Grands Boulevards in the 9th district, by Rue Montmartre. Enjoy a bus tour with Cityrama or ParisVision. It is the best way for an overview of the city in order to select all the places you will visit in detail later.

Day 3 Sunday, March 11 - Paris

You may want to visit the Louvre Museum. It is less than 20 minutes walk from your hotel as you follow the rue de Richelieu.

Day 4 Monday, March 12 - Paris

Among many areas you may want to see today "Le Marais" ,"Place des Vosges", the Ile Saint Louis and Ile de La Cité, Notre Dame. Walk around the Latin Quarter where students and intellectuals meet in the Cafés of Saint Michel, Saint Germain or Montparnasse. Museums are closed either on Mondays or Tuesdays. The Orsay museum closes on Mondays.

Day 5 Tuesday, March 13 - Paris

There is much more to see in Paris: the Champs Elysées, the Eiffel Tower, the Sacré Coeur at Montmartre. You can also plan the day to go and visit the Landing Beaches of Normandy, remembering D-Day. You'll see Caen, Omaha Beach, St. Laurent Cemetery, Arromanche, Gold and Juno Beaches. Departing at 7:00 a.m. the tour returns at 9:00 p.m. and cost approximately $180 with Cityrama. If the group is large enough we'll operate for $145. Other day trips by T.G.V. (fast train) could be arranged to Dijon in Burgundy, to Reims in the Champagne Country, or to London with the Euro star.

Day 6 Wednesday, March 14 - Paris

Enjoy a day in Versailles to see the splendid Palace of Louis XIV, its gardens, The Grand and the Petit Trianon as well as the Hamlet of Marie Antoinette. The train to Versailles Rive Gauche leaves from Gare St. Michel.

Day 7 Thursday, March 15 - Paris

Full day excursion to the Loire Valley. This optional tour leaves at 7:00 a.m. and returns at 7:00 p.m. It includes a photo stop at Chambord the visit of Chenonceau and a stop in the small town of Amboise.

Day 8 Friday, March 16 - Paris

Last day in Paris for shopping or see that last little museum you did not want to miss!

Day 9 Saturday, March 17 - Return

Transfer to the Charles de Gaulle airport for your return flight to Washington Dulles.

The price for the Paris trip - from $1,395.00


The Price Includes:

  • Round trip flights from Washington- Dulles to Paris with AIR FRANCE.
  • Airport, security taxes and "Q" tax for fuel surcharge at $250, subject to adjustment at time of ticketing.
  • Transfers between CDG airport and hotel.
  • 7 nights accommodation with double or triple room @ Hotel Mercure Ronceray
  • Buffet breakfast dailY.
  • Assistance of Suzanne Flinchbaugh, part-time instructor of French at Penn State York, during your stay in Paris.

The Price Does Not Include:

  • Single room supplement + $ 515.
  • Possible day excursions by speed train (T.G.V) to Dijon, Reims or London.
  • Entrance fees to museums.
  • Cost of personal items such as phone, drinks, laundry, etc.
  • Meals other than specify.
  • Optional travel insurance.
  • Passport & visa fee.

  • Everyone needs a valid passport valid until September 17, 2007. In case you are not an American citizen a visa may be required.

OPTIONAL TOURS:

Full day excursion to Loire Valley for the price of $90. A minimum of 15 participants.

Full day excursion to Normandy for the price of $145. A minimum of 15 participants.

Terms and Conditions


Your deposit will assure your reservation with the airline and the hotel in Paris. Your deposit must be sent with a copy of your passport, if available, the registration form and the optional travel insurance premium if you choose to protect yourself with travel insurance.


Payments

Deposit $150.
Balance due no later than November 17, 2006

All payments to be made by check to Celestial Voyagers escrow account Your deposit will assure your reservation with the airline, the hotel and other suppliers.

Your deposit must be sent with a copy of your passport, the registration here enclosed and the optional travel insurance premium if you choose so.


Cancellations

In case of cancellation penalties will apply:
  • $150 processing fee if written cancellation is received prior to January 5, 2007.
  • Penalty of 50 percent of the cost of the trip if written cancellation is received between January 6 and February 2, 2007.
  • Penalty of 100 percent of the cost of the trip if written cancellation is received after February 3 and in case of no-show.

One reservation form per passenger is necessary. This form is available inside each brochure. Fill in the form and mail it with your deposit, copy of your passport if available, and the optional travel insurance to:
