How Can I Get Involved?

Students
Students who demonstrate a positive attitude, work to potential, have good attendance and show a sincere desire to learn are nominated by their middle school teachers as candidates for the Acadamy.

Parents
The support of parents is critical to the effectiveness of the Academy. Parents commit to the program by providing a positive enviroment for learning, encouraging regular and prompt attendance and celebrating the success of their students at awards programs. Special programs for parents encourage them to share the joys and challenges of raising teens with other parents.

Business and Community Partners
The Project Connections Academy is funded through Penn State York and the generous contributions of local business and industry supporters. Contributions are eligible for Neighborhood Assistance Program tax credits. Businesses are also encouraged to get involved by offering mentoring and job-shadowing opportunities for Project Connections students.
