What We Do

Students in the Saturday and Summer Academy have fun while learning about subjects such as:

• Adventure Challenge Team Building
• Chemistry
• Computer Technology
• Engineering
• Enviromental Science
• Physics of Sound
• Robotics
• Web Design

Students entering the ninth grade have the opportunity to upgrade a computer to keep for home use during high school.  Penn State York Information Sciences and Technology students work with the Academy students to upgrade computers and printers that are donated by industry partners.

Hands-on learning also occurs outside of  the classroom, so Academy students have the opportunity to visit places such as:

• The Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts

• Rudy Park Observatory
