Why are you running for this position and what do you hope to accomplish?
I am running for Student Government Vice President because I believe that I could greatly assist the current President and senators with the experience that I would bring to the organization.  To start off I meet all the qualifications to fun for this position as well as experience in the York SGA as well as attending CCSG.  I feel that my leadership experience in high school would also help me serve my fellow students and executive officers.  I have developed strong relationships with current SGA members and because I am currently not involved in other organizations I would be willing to devote my time and energy to the SGA.  I feel that I have the diplomatic skill set required to succeed in the SGA and my biggest priority would be to assist our president and make sure that there is always a reliable POC should our president need me to pick up responsibilities.  Most importantly, I am passionate about the Student Government Association and feel that it is our responsibility to help end student apathy and make sure that students are involved.

Why are you running for this position and what do you hope to accomplish?
I am running for the position of a freshman senator enable to be at an angle from which I can make significant contributions to the school community.  This is also a chance I am willing to grant others to channel their information through me to higher authorities and get their voices heard.  Though everything in Penn State York seems perfect as it is, I believe there is always room for improvement.  The improvement I intend to make is both in myself and in the community.

Personally, I am hoping that this experience will help me ameliorate my communication skills.  With regards to the fact that I am new to the environment as a whole and know nobody here, it has been relatively difficult to interact freely with people.  I expect this position to consist of many activities that will require teamwork, and I am ready to step out of my comfort zone for a good cause.

In terms for ameliorating the community, I believe the student government cannot be saturated with creativity, organization and other leadership qualities to the point of turning down that with which I come with.  Then again, the leadership traits I come with are not virgin.  They have been used, recycled, mended and polished on several occasions to become as valid as they are now.

In conclusion, not only do I hope to accomplish self-satisfaction, but also to acquire the satisfaction of my mates, faculty members and all others affected by the decisions of the student government.

Why are you running for this position and what do you hope to accomplish?
I would like to be a first-year senator because I hope to help out my fellow students and the campus as much as possible.  I want to get involved and make a name for myself.  I didn’t get involved and do things for my high school and I believe that student government would be a great opportunity for me to do so.  Being a part of student government would mean a lot to me and I hope to accomplish a lot.  I hope to be able to listen to what the students say and do something about it.  I really just want to help out and get INVOLVED.  =-)
