The 2010-11 Penn State-York men’s basketball team enters the season with many new faces that will join five returners from last years team that finished at the top of the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) Southern Division for the second straight year.
Leading the group of returners at the guard position is Josh Czerski (Towson Catholic). He is joined by Johan Erimee, Xavier Smith, Durant Harvin and Matt Rotonda, who all return for their second year in the program. This group will compete for playing time with seven new faces on the roster. This group includes sophomore Zach Harlem (Oneonta) and six freshmen. The freshmen are Danny Hoffman (North Carroll), Jermell Flemming (Steelton), David Salerno (Notre-Dame Green Pond), Ben Todd(Hereford), Seth Warren(Dover), and Chemin Lambert(York).
Despite this years lack of experience, the team will be looking for their third consecutive finish at the top of the division. The top eight teams in the PSUAC conference earn the opportunity to play for a birth to the Bryce Jordan Center in the conference “Final Four” and the conference championship. The conference champion earns an automatic birth to the National Tournament.
