The Lions opened the fall half of their season with a 14-12 come from behind victory against visiting Valley Forge Christian College in a non-conference dual. Brian Skeen delivered the bottom of the ninth game winning RBI single for the win.
The team traveled to defending conference champions Penn State Beaver for their conference opener. The lions scored in the top of the first when sophomore John Mehring plated Brian Skeen who opened the game with a leadoff double. An infield error allowed the tying run to score in the bottom half. After battling to a 2-2 tie through 5 ½ innings, the defending champions plated the winning run with two out in the bottom of the sixth. In game two, the lions, behind a strong outing by starting pitcher Tyler Buck, led 6-4 heading into the last stanza. A leadoff walk, stolen base and single ending the day for Buck who left with a 6-5 lead. The lions turned a double play and were again positioned to win. An infield error allowed the tying runner to reach first. A hit batter and two consecutive singles provided enough for the defending champions to secure both ends of the twin bill. Dropping both ends of the road doubleheader to the defending champions on unearned runs when positioned for the wins seemed to set the tone for the lions as they went on to finish the fall half 1-0 in non-conference play and 2-11 overall.
Sophomore Adam Allshouse led the team in a number of offensive categories including batting average (.290) and runs batted in. Allshouse and fellow sophomore John Mehring led in total hits. Brian Skeen lead the squad in extra base hits and runs scored while freshman Jared Stiffler led the team in stolen bases.
The pitching staff was lead by Allshouse with a 4.85 ERA followed by Stiffler at 5.96. Stiffler lead the team in strikeouts of opponents.
