Semester: Fall and Spring

Fall 2009
The Lions recently completed their “nontraditional” season fall practice.

The squad had the opportunity to develop their skills while providing the coaching staff a chance to see new players in action and welcome them to the program. Members of the team continue to participate in the off season strength and conditioning program throughout the fall.

Coach Workinger announced the addition of Andrew Clemens to his staff as a volunteer assistant. Coach Clemens, who played for and graduated from Millersville University, will serve as pitching coach for the lions. Clemens pitches and plays infield in the semi-pro Central League during the summer months.

The team welcomed some outstanding high school players to campus and the roster. The new freshmen include two all-conference high school selections. One was named this summer as the York-Adams American Legion tournament MVP. Also returning for fall practice was the lions leading pitcher, named PSUAC Athletic All Conference his freshman year.

Coach Workinger recently recognized six returning players who achieved PSUAC Academic All-Conference designation during the spring term. The six PSUAC All-Conference designees are Erik Aspril, Tyler Buck, John Heird, Kiran Mody, Trevor Neff, and Brian Tutino. Four of the six achieved Dean’s List along with the team’s student manager, Tim Rau.
