2007 Season Summary
The 2007 women’s volleyball team was a very memorable team with persevering players. The team was led by Head Coach Meggan Clancy and Assistant Coach Amy Yohe. The team was composed of eleven players who were determined to improve themselves both individually and as a team. The teams in their division of the PSUAC conference ended up having almost the same win-loss record. The fate of the team came down to their very last match with Mont Alto. Although the team did not achieve that victory to go on to championships, Coach Clancy and her team are more determined than ever to go to championships next year. The team finished 6-10 in conference play and finished 6-12 overall. This year’s team was very young and made-up of mostly freshmen. Next year will bring forth an older, more determined, and more experienced team.

The Team
Lindsay Mumma (#11), a talented middle blocker, led the team and was the go-to hitter. She is a powerful hitter and earned the six-pack award for knocking an opponent literally off their feet with her kill. As a smart and aggressive player, she was selected to be on the PSUAC Women’s Volleyball All Conference Team. Her stats included 94 digs, 53 service aces, 2 assists, 211 kills, and 29 blocks. Briana Mott (#2), a vtalented setter, had a great ability to run the offense. Briana and Lindsay working together in the front row put up a solid wall defense. Abbey Sabold (#10) was a solid passer for the team who had great court awareness. Lindsey Metzger (#3) played right side hitter and was a great defensive player. Ciara Rossum (#9) was the only returning player from last year and has the most impressive and highest vertical Coach Clancy has seen. Ann Shaw (#9), Erin Murphy (#5), Jamie Lau (#8), Meghan Stiles, Rachael Affano (#12), and Luxsana Iamsakuldocha (#6) all brought great deal of skill, talent, dependability, and spirit to the team which contributed to the very core of the team.
