Cultural Events At The York Campus

Our campus provides an interesting diversity of cultural programs for our students and our community - for both audiences are important to us. Each year we bring two noon-time performances directly to the students as fast-paced novelty acts and rising comedy stars play live in the Lion's Den. Nothing is predictable when these shows hit except that the audiences are going to become part of the act! Our evening and weekend series consists of a spectrum of enjoyable performances representing the fields of classical and folk music, jazz, theatre and drama, dance and others from the performing arts. These presentations usually begin at 7:00 or 7:30 p.m. and are either held at the York campus or at the Strand Capitol Performing Arts Center in downtown York. Since 1995, our series has been co-sponsored by the York Newspaper Company, and our growing audiences have come to appreciate the quality and consistency of these offerings. Most performances are free to the general public.
