Rev. Dr. Carl Tancredi,
I am an ordained Roman Catholic Priest. My presence on campus is welcomed by the Penn State York community as a priest, pastor, confessor and friend. I am not a paid employee of the University, but rather an honored guest of permanent residence. I am not, nor should I be assumed to be, a liaison among students, staff, faculty or administration.
I am your confidant- a person you can confide in who under the 'seal of confession' is sworn to total secrecy. I am committed to total silence; neither law, administrative policy, nor personal threat should cause me to break the seal. My expertise is in values clarification, understanding and concern of life's issues, and support of values in faith, hope, and love. This expertise is focused through a belief in the presence of Jesus Christ through his church in this world. My work on campus is ecumenical; I work with all students regardless of faith or religious background.
In addition to my presence here, I also work as chaplain at York College and at the York County Prison. I will be available to anyone who wishes to work through or discuss issues of conscience, crisis, or any dilemma which you may be facing or may have to face. You have only to call 717-873-5163 (cell phone) or you may e-mail me at <firstname.lastname@example.org>. Please feel free to avail yourself of my services and recommend my services to others.
