Time
Management
(or
budgeting time for studying)
Have a daily manager and stick to the schedule you have made
Take advantage of 5-minute periods of time
Break assignments down into 15 to 30 minute segments
Many short study sessions are better that one large one
Schedule time for fun
Allow flexibility in your schedule
Set priorities and study the most important first
Set realistic goals
Take advantage of your best time of day for your most important work--some people are morning birds while others are night owls
Do not let the phone interrupt--but use the phone to get information that would otherwise make you use precious time to discover
Learn to say, "No." Projects you really do not need to be involved in will save you time for other things
Realize how you waste time and avoid these situations
Have and use a long term planner for more distant goals
Concentrate fully on the task at hand--write down distracting thoughts so that you may get back to them later when you have more time
