We are happy to announce that on Monday, October 15, construction began on the main floor of the John J Romano Administration Building (Romano)! The renovation includes a new student lounge/lobby space, and new administrative offices for the chancellor, director of Academic Affairs, and their staff members. A number of entities have come together to support this project, including the Student Facilities Fee Committee who provided funding.
We know that noise and dust will be created during the renovation, and we ask for patience and understanding from students, staff, and faculty as we work to finish this project. We are hopeful that the work will be completed before the start of the spring semester if all goes well. This is a tight timeline, but we are hopeful.
Even though two classrooms and a hallway will be offline for the duration of the project, this will be a fantastic place for students to gather and learn!
