Advising:

I am the academic advisor for students in our four-year Letters, Arts, and Sciences Baccalaureate program, Liberal Studies Option whose last names begin with the letters H-M.

LAS Majors:

In order to be eligible for entrance to the Letters, Arts, and Sciences (LAS) major, the student must have a GPA of 2.0 and must submit a proposal. In consultation with me, after 5th semester standing students formulate a proposal designing a program that meets their educational and career goals from the viewpoint of at least three different subject areas. An important standard for entrance to the LAS major is the student's ability to design a program with academic integrity worthy of a Bachelor of Arts degree. 

Advisees:

For those of you who are my advisees, periodically you will receive e-mails from me announcing upcoming class scheduling and the need to arrange advisor/advisee meetings to help with meeting degree requirements.  Also, if you have specific questions, see the page designated "Questions" under this Advisee section where you can contact me directly.

Students with at least 5th semester standing:

After completion of five semesters, students in this major are not permitted to schedule classes without an approved proposal in writing from me.  Be sure to meet with me as soon as you are eligible to write your proposal so I can help guide you in the successful completion of this process.
