Do you know what you want to do after you graduate from high school? This is the time to plan for YOUR future. Let’s take a look at reality and see where your dreams take you. Right now, you need to develop a career plan. We are going to complete a Web Quest to assist you in learning about yourself, your interests, abilities, skills, and aptitudes. You will also research three different careers in order to write a compare and contrast research paper.
The Task
You are going to look for information on careers that interest you.
First, you will take some interest inventories to see what you like to do.
Then, you will research information about three different careers and take notes on your Career Report Notes Sheet.
Finally, you will decide on a career plan and create a career plan for your future.
The Process
The first thing that you need to do is some self-assessment to understand yourself.
OK, now what did you learn about yourself? Did you get any new ideas? Or did the same suggestions for careers come up on different assessments? Look for common things in the different assessments. Give this some thought! Choose 3 different careers that you find interesting from the same area or from different areas.
Next, you need to go to the career web sites and research your 3 career choices.
