Electrical Occupations Oral Report

Mike Reinaman, Electrical Occupations

You are required to give an oral report to the class on any topic relating to Electrical Occupations. It could be on procedures for installations, electrical codes, new products, new concepts, etc… You will be required to deliver your report to the class in an informed fashion and use at least one visual aid. This could be a picture from a magazine or web site, an actual product, draw or write on the white board, or a poster you made. I have trade magazines you can use for reference. You could use a web site, text book or code book to get your information. Here are several websites you could use as a resource. These websites also have many links to other good websites in this trade.

CEE News Archives
http://www.ceenews.com/
CEE News, a magazine which served more than 87,000 electrical contractors and engineers, became part of EC&M magazine in 2002. EC&M increased its circulation by 45% and substantially broadened its editorial coverage, including additional emphasis on home networking and new products. The new, expanded EC&M will reach 140,000 electrical professionals who spend, on average, $1.39 million per year on electrical products and services. While CEE News ceased as a stand-alone publication in September, you can still search five years worth of CEE News articles and departments by entering a key word in the search field or selecting an issue in the right column.

Electricians' Toolbox Etc...
http://www.elec-toolbox.com/frames.html
This site was started in July of 1997. My whole approach was to put out information that would be readily accessible for electricians. I try to keep it simple, but practical. So I dedicate this site to the electrician and the electrical construction industry. Electrical Inspectors are always welcome! Here at Electricians Toolbox our goal is to share information that is useful to the electrician as well as the electrical contractor. This site is full of different options: definitions, formulas, useful info, discussion group, downloads and many more. This site also offers monthly code quizzes and Trick of the Trades. Electricians Toolbox has several links to business and manufacturers in the Electrical Industry as well as advertisements for different companies. This site is operated by an electrician for the electrician!
