Testing Policy
- At the beginning of some class periods, you will be given a quiz over the assigned reading. No make-ups will be given. The quizzes are designed to ensure that you read the text, read the assignments, and listen to the opinions of your classmates.
- The mid-term will include:
- Matching titles to authors
- Identifying book characters and authors
- Short answers
- Plot summaries
- Discussion
Grading Policy
- The Student Packet "Instructions for Completing the Annotated Bibliography" identifies the grading criteria for the bibliography. For the values I use to assign grades, see the handout "Grading Yourself."
- Late papers or projects are not welcomed. If they are accepted, they are always penalized.
- Grades will be determined as follows:
- 50% Annotated Bibliography
- 20% Midterm
- 30% Quizzes, assignments, class participation, and assignments
NOTE: Do not overlook the importance of neatness, organization, and pleasing design.
