Abstract:
The
usual energy sources to heat greenhouses will be reviewed before discussion
alternative sources to heat greenhouses. Energy conservation in the
heating and cooling of a greenhouse contributes greatly to curtailing production
costs. The talk will illustrate the involvement of student groups in
performing energy audits in a commercial greenhouse. Finally the talk will
present what the students found and then summarize how to conserve energy in a
greenhouse.
