When Penn State developed the associate and baccalaureate degree programs for the School of Information Sciences and Technology (IST), we listened to business and industry leaders to determine what abilities and knowledge they wanted from the next generation of information sciences/information technology (IT) professionals. The University also tapped into the latest collaborative thinking from professionals who have been tracking and distilling trends for more than two decades.
